Bengaluru, Nov 30: The honey trap scandal involving elected people's representatives is turning murkier by the day. The police who have seized hard disks and electronic equipment from the accused have found over ten video clips containing scenes of the leaders in compromising positions with ladies. In all these cases, the accused have collected hefty sums by blackmailing the legislators involved therein. Although the police have been urging the concerned to come out with complaints, many are dithering from doing so because of the fear of their reputation getting sullied publicly.
At the same time, information emanating from some other sources say that the legislators who got caught in this trap used to demand for and get the company of ladies. The gang which came to know of this, drew out a plan to capitalize on this weakness and successfully implemented their plan, sources added.

Over seven mobile phones and 15 SIM cards were seized by the police from the main accused, Raghu alias Raghavendra. They are now trying to pool information contained in them.
As the probe into the scandal intensified, many who were involved with the scandal in some way or the other have gone underground. A special investigating team formed for the purpose is trying to arrest them.
The police department is coaxing the MLAs and some influential people involved with the honey trap scandal to file complaints. Many of the leaders have approached senior police officers with a request to settle the issue without officially registering any complaint as their future is at stake, it is gathered.
