Kaup: Car its roadside petty shop - Accident leaves seven injured

Kaup, Nov 30: A car that was bound for Padubidri hit a roadside petty shop being run by a Paanwala on the evening of Friday, November 29. As a result, seven persons including the Paanwala and three children who were waiting for bus, were injured.

Rizan (3), Riyan (5),Ramlat (29), Jainabi (38), and Rafiza (18), residing near Lions English Medium School Padubidri, Yashas (8) from Mangaluru and Golel Yadav (34) from UP, who operates the Paan shop, were injured.

All the injured were treated in a private hospital at Padubidri.

The driver of the car, who is from Palimaru Karnire near Padubdri, had come to Padubidri for buying fish along with family members. The police said that the driver visited the police station immediately after the accident to inform. It is said that the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of applying brakes, which caused the accident.
