Mysuru, Nov 27: "’Ask whatever amount of needed for the campaigning of disqualified MLAs, who are contesting on BJP ticket. All the ministers are sent to respective legislative assemblies and asked to come only after the election is over. If money is required for ministers also let me know. I will arrange the same,’ these are the words of CM B S Yediyurappa,” said former PM and supremo of JD (S) H D Devegowda accusing BSY of pouring money for the by-elections.
Speaking to the reporters here, Deve Gowda said, "No one questions Yediyurappa whatever the amount of money he transports. That is why he is saying that BJP will win all the 15 seats. He has got the government and intelligence with him and also money power. CM Yediyurappa is trying to win the elections through money,"
Speaking about former JD(S) MLA H Vishwanath, now contesting for BJP, Deve Gowda said, "Vishwanath is a seasoned politician. Whatever he has in his mind and heart is entirely different from what he conveys to the public. But the people will understand. It is wrong to assume that people will not understand his drama."
"Vishwanath has praised me as well as former CM Siddaramaiah of Congress. Everyone knows that he is doing this in order to gain sympathy votes from the public. Vishwanath knows very well that if he teases or accuses leaders like me and Siddaramaiah during campaigning, it will have ill-effect on the outcome of the result of elections. So he is acting like a saint," added Deve Gowda.
Responding to the query on Maharashtra political developments, Deve Gowda said, "Anything can happen in the political scene of the country. This will have some bearing on the Karnataka politics also. Let us see what all changes will take place in Karnataka after the results of by-elections. Let us see what decision Sonia Gandhi will take after the results of the upcoming by-elections of the state."
