Bengaluru, Nov 27: In connection with the money laundering case he is facing, former minister and Congress leader, D K Shivakumar, appeared in the special court for people's representatives here on Tuesday November 26.
Shivakumar had earlier sought quashing of the case registered against him, but the high court had dismissed his petition. Therefore, he had to appear for hearing. Judge of the court, Ramachandra D Huddar, who took up the case, adjourned its hearing to December 12.
The case pertaining to recovery of currency notes amounting to Rs 8.60 crore during the raids conducted by income tax department on flats reportedly owned by the strongman of Karnataka politics. The court is yet to frame charges against Shivakumar in this case.
