Puttur, Nov 24: Karim Khan, who is the accused person in the double murder that took place at Ajaladi Hosamaru of Kuriya village near here on November 17, has been sent to judicial custody for 15 days.
The court had handed Karim Khan over to police custody on Friday for one day. He was taken to the house, where the murders took place for spot inspection. Karim Khan was produced in the court again on the night of Friday itself.
It has also come to light that the accused had removed one more golden chain that the injured Khatijamma was wearing. This was disclosed by the accused to the police during the investigation on Friday. He had pledged that golden chain, weighing one sovereign, in a bank in Puttur. The police have confiscated the same from the bank.
The CCTV footage record of the accused visiting the bank to pledge the golden chain has also been taken by the police as evidence.
Karim Khan, whose hand is injured during the scuffle that occurred at the time of the murders, has been given a week's medicine by a government hospital.
