Mangaluru, Nov 23: A day-long seminar on entrepreneurship, career guidance and training for youth organized by Rachana, Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with St Aloysius College (Autonomous), was inaugurated at Fr L F Rasquinha Hall, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, on Saturday, November 23.
Inaugurating the programme, Fr Praveen Martis, principal, St Aloysius College, said, “It is a pleasure to inaugurate this event. Many of the delegates of this seminar will be the known entrepreneurs of tomorrow. First of all, I appreciate Rachana for holding such a meaningful programme. I also look forward to many programmes from them which will really help youth.
“There is no doubt in that students will benefit the best from this seminar. We all know that today’s world requires young entrepreneurs. Today’s world is full of opportunities and the younger generation should grab it without waiting for anyone’s signal or advice. Being an entrepreneur, youth can become jobs providers for thousands of unemployed youths. But for this, you need a vision. These type of seminars will help you convert that vision into passion. It will guide you to look forward and to do better. Once youths adopt this attitude, they will rise above automatically and succeed in their lives,” he said.
Welcoming the guests and delegates, Elias Sanctis, president, Rachana said, “The younger generation should make their career a passion. They should convert failure as steps towards victory. Rachana is proud to conduct this event for current youths in entrepreneurship and it is our responsibility also. Hope the experience filled tips from known entrepreneurs will inspire the delegates. I wish it torches a spark of entrepreneurship inside the attendees.”

The seminar will be moderated by former MLA J R Lobo while known businessmen Dr John Wilfred Lobo, managing director, Albertsons International Private Limited, Albert W D’Souza, managing director, Printania Offset Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, Dr Richard Vincent D’Souza, IAS, managing director, Hatti Gold Mines Co Ltd, Bengaluru, government of Karnataka, and Praveen B Nayak, KCS, deputy registrar of Cooperative Societies, Dakshina Kannada, are attending as recourse persons.
