Mysuru, Nov 18: The doctors at the Columbia Asia hospital, who are attending to MLA of Narasimharaja constituency and former Congress minister Tanveer Sait, who was attacked with machete that is used by butchers and injured grievously, have said that next 48 hours are very crucial and nothing can be said about the health condition of Tanveer Sait.
Tanveer Sait was at a wedding party on the night of Sunday, November 17 at a party hall near Bannimantap in the town. Around 11.30 pm a youth by the name Farhan Pasha (25) slit the throat of Tanveer Sait with a machete. Followers of Tanveer Sait got him admitted to Columbia Asia hospital immediately. However, the doctor have said that his condition is precarious and he is under intensive observation.

Dr Upendra Shenoy of Columbia Asia Hospital said, "Nothing can be said about the health condition of MLA Tanveer Sait for the next 48 hours. His brain, veins of throat that are connected to heart and other nerves are damaged. Kidney is working to a certain extent. We are trying our best to bring his sugar and blood pressure levels to normal. Tanveer is responding to the treatment."
The accused youth, who attacked Tanveer Sait, has said that he attacked the MLA because of frustration. In his confession to the police, the youth, Farhan said, "The MLA is not helping anyone. He is not doing any work. So I tried to kill him." However, the statement of Farhan are suspicious and police are trying to find out the truth by conducting intense questioning.
BJP MP Pratap Simha visited the hospital and inquired about the health condition of Tanveer Sait.
