Mangaluru: Newly-shifted Urwa Market branch of Karnataka Bank inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath inaugurated newly shifted Urwa Market branch of Karnataka Bank to new premises here at Rock sagar empire Mariamma Temple road near Urwa Market on Saturday, November 16.

Addressing the gathering, Vedavyas Kamath said, "Karnataka Bank has taken giant strides in banking sector since its inception and wiped the tears of the poor, even the NPA rate in less. Close to 70% banks have started mobile banking and Karnataka Bank is doing well in mobile banking.”

Mahabaleshwara M S, managing director and CEO of Karnataka Bank, said, "Karnataka Bank has 1.11 crore customers with Rs 1,25,000 crore turnover. Our bank is living upto the expectations of the people providing all types of services required for the customers. We have also introduced new service in this branch such as mini E lobby. We have also involved in several social activities. From November 15 to February 28, 2020, we will start CASA (Current account savings account) campaign where we will visit every house to make every individual open their bank account and make use of our banking facilities.”

P Jayarama Bhat, non-executive chairman, Karnataka Bank said, "Karnataka Bank has made good progress and come a long way since its inception and started new services like mobile banking and many more. We should always enjoy banking so the facilities have brought in where customers should enjoy banking.”
