Mumbai, Aug 18: The 13th annual general body meeting of Rajapur Saraswat (RS) Co-operative Bank was held at Sri Ganesh Prasad auditorium, located at Bhukailas Nagar, Sion (East), here, recently. The meeting was presided over by Bank’s re-elected chairman, Sadanand Nayak.
Addressing the audience on the occasion, Sadanand Nayak said that the cooperative banks play a key role in empowering the ordinary people, by meeting their financial needs. Co-operative banks deserve to be given the credit for being instrumental in realizing the dreams of small-time employees, to begin their own small scale industries. R S Co-operative Bank has been the ray of hope for many small investors, he said.
He also assured the shareholders of the Bank and its customers that he would take the Bank to greater heights during his third term.
Sadanand Nayak was recently re-elected as the chairman of Bank for the consecutive third term.
Bank’s deputy chairman Umesh S Bhat said that the cooperative banks have been discharging their responsibility towards the ordinary Bank customers efficiently, and have made their impact at the regional level. RS Co-operative Bank has achieved rapid progress, as it has been able to win over the trust and confidence of its customers, he analyzed.
Bank’s chief executive officer Shashikant L Abhang provided statistical information on Bank’s operations and volume of business.
Former deputy chairman of the Bank, Narayan Nayak, shareholders Prabhakar Borkar, P S Nayak, C B Singh, Ramanna Shevde and others, came up with their suggestions towards the Bank’s progress.
Bank directors Vittal D Nayak, Raghunath N Nayak, Mahendra T Nayak, Suresh D Nayak, Raghavendra S Nayak, Upendra N Kamath, Nityanand B Naik, Ramanand S Nayak, Prakash Shevde, Rama Sudhakar Nayak, Kala Pradeep Nayak, Narayan Nayak, Ramesh Anant Naik and Santosh Totaram Sonavane were present on this occasion.
