Kundapur, Nov 12: As soon as the accused in the Kota double murder case that took place on January 26, in which Yatish Kanchan and Bharat were killed, got bail from the court, poor mother of Bharat has approached Supreme Court seeking justice.
The double murder had shaken the twin coastal districts as well as the whole state. This was the first murder case in which some police personnel were allegedly hand in glove with the murderers. In addition, members of zilla panchayat were also accused of hatching the plan to murder the duo. Till recently, the district sessions court had not granted bail to any of the accused in this murder case, including the policemen. However, zilla panchayat member Raghavendra Kanchan had approached the High Court and succeeded in getting conditional bail. Then the district additional sessions court granted bail to other six accused in the case.
As soon as the accused were released on bail, Parvati, financially poor mother of Bharat, one of the deceased, has got up and determined to get justice. She has approached the Supreme Court questioning the granting of bail to the accused in this double murder case. The SC has taken the appeal of Parvati for investigation. It is said that this is the first case, in which a murder case of coastal belt is taken for investigation by the Supreme Court, in spite of political pressure.
Parvati said, "I have immense respect towards the Supreme Court of our country. The murderers who killed my son should be punished. The pain and agony, which I have gone through, should not happen to any other mother. Though my financial condition is not good, I have taken loan to fight for justice. I am confident that justice will be delivered in the murder case of my son Bharat and his friend Yatish. I have approached the Supreme Court with the blessings of Kota village deity Amrutheshwari Thayi. All those who are involved in this murder case should get punishment. Let everything happen as per the wishes of Mother Amrutheshwari."
