Bantwal: Crashed Mularpatna bridge demolition, reconstruction from Nov 11 - MLA

Bantwal, Nov 11: Local MLA, Rajesh Naik Ulipladiguthu, said that the demolition work of the crashed Mularpatna bridge which connects Muttur in Mangaluru taluk with Mularpatna in Bantwal taluk, will begin on Monday November 11. "The bridge, which was seven metres wide, will be extended to 12 metres and the bridge would be newly built at a cost of Rs 13.9 crore. The proposal is pending cabinet clearance," he stated.

He said that he aims to ensure that this bridge is completed and opened for public use before the beginning of the next rainy season. "Two crore rupees from Bantwal MLA's grant and two crore rupees from the grant of Mangaluru MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty, have been reserved for this bridge. Work on the bridge will begin soon," he stated.
