The woman did not let him easily. She tried to get help in the said compartment but no one there to help her. So she walked back to her compartment and alerted her friends and other passengers. When they went to the next compartment in search of the suspect, he had already made his way to another compartment. But the woman and her friends located him in one of the compartments. In the meantime, the train also reached Tirupatur railway station. However, they could not get any TTE to appraise their issue. This forced one of the friends of the victim to pull the chain in order to draw the attention of the railway police.

The Government Railway Police, who quickly responded to the distress call arrested the culprit after spot inquiry. Though the woman in question was asked to file a complaint, she did not so due to lack of time. However, she promptly lodged a complaint on reaching the Bengaluru Cantonment railway police. V Sunish is the person who is in custody of the police now on the accusation of groping the woman.

Must salute the lady for her persistence. If all citizens sought to correct the wrong with similar persistence, we would be a different country.
