Mangaluru, Nov 9: Haleangady gram panchayat president, Jalaja Panar, said that the state High Court has issued a stay against the operation of the order issued by Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat dissolving Haleangady gram panchayat.
Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat had passed a resolution to dissolve the said gram panchayat, noting that it had failed to discharge duties cast upon it and that the development activities in the panchayat had become sluggish.
