Bengaluru: Man gives wife triple talaq for giving birth to 5 daughters

Bengaluru, Nov 8: Upset that his wife only gave birth to girls, a Bengaluru-based businessman gave triple talaq to his wife of 19 years. 

The woman identified as Noor Fathima filed a complaint in R T Nagar police station against her husband Syed Afsar. 

In her complaint, Noor alleged that in their 19-year-long marriage, she gave birth to five daughters. The eldest was born mentally challenged. Throughout her life, Noor claimed that she was abused and assaulted for giving birth to girls. In a recent quarrel, Afsar pronounced triple talaq and asked Noor to go to her parents’ house. He refused to take her back stating that their marriage is annulled.

The police have booked Syed under the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019. They have also issued him a notice asking him to appear for questioning.

    Seems to be stupidly illiterate. First of all he should have followed the norm "we two our two". Instead he went on upto five and top of it he wants talaq. He should have been much more happy if he had to realize his fortune with his young obedient wife allowed him to have five graceful kids

    Earlier days people used to say when get child it was from GODs gift nevertheless the GENDER ! But now time has changed and we tend to oppose the gift of GOD ! even we differentiate the gender ! where we need the same girl for everything in our life. Who is going to look after those GIRL if he TALAQ like instant magi noodles ! he lost his senses and faith it seems !

    This man fully realizes the consequences of his actions, he is well aware, that he has transgressed Anti Talak laws, yet he has brazenly thrown his wife of 19 years, on to the streets !!! She bore him five children, yet he is emboldened to marry many more women !!!! This sad plight of women, will continue to reoccur frequently, until and unless the community, issues a Fatwa, against multiple marriages !!!!!!!!

    Yes... He is the reason solely responsible for five daughters.. Not that poor wife... Ladies have only 'X' chromosomes whereas men "X" and "Y"...At least for now withdraw your talaq and look after your wife and daughters very well...

    You are stupid.
    He gave Triple talaq to his 19yrs old wife whom she already given birth to this ediots 5 children's.

    Just think whats is her age at the time of marriage.
    First of all no 1 guilty is father of this innocent lady who given birth 5 children's because when she has to play with her friends she got married to the uneducated creature who don't know how the male child is produced.

    Vishukiran Fernandes, kalasa to understand one should also have some education and brain too.Second he wanted also only a boy child ,all these 19 years of wedded life had no meaning for sentiments and love .How sad.Now it is not possible to kit the bond between them.Feel pity for the woman.without proper education and means to support family will be difficult for her specially elder child is a disabled one.Fellow should be punished and make him to pay life long for children whether he will or not.
