City police commissioner Dr P S Harsha, said,"Ayodhya judgement will be announced soon. As everyone needs to respect the judgement, which is just the interpretation of law, no one should celebrate or protest over the decision to see that peace and tranquillity is maintained. The organizations need to urge youngsters not to celebrate or protest relating to the judgement. Social media has become an opinion maker tool, and if anyone posts comments in social media, the leaders of organizations or religious leaders should urge them not to post inciting comments in social media. If anyone crosses the limits then you need to inform police so that we can take action."
He also said, "This year, as the government will not be officially celebrating Tipu Jayanthi, we have no objection to celebrate it inside the four walls, but organizing public festivities and celebrating grandly in public, conducting procession etc are restricted. Even while putting up banners make sure that it is permitted by election officer," he advised.
