Bengaluru, Nov 7: The state government is contemplating of banning bars and liquor sales outlets from naming them after religious deities.
Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has directed to obtain the opinion of legal experts to remove the names of deities from the name boards of liquor outlets.
“Several bars or liquor sales outlets are named as Maha Ganapathi, Raghavendra, Manjunath, Venkateshwara etc. It hurts religious sentiments and insults the deities.
