Vijayapura, Nov 7: Housing minister V Somanna, said that many complaints have been received about corruption in distribution of houses provided to poor people under the 'Ashraya' scheme of the government. He said that probe will be launched into the scandal within four days.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday at Almatti in the district, Somanna said that as per records, 14 lac houses were built during the period of these two chief ministers but they are only on record. He said that so many houses were not built, and therefore, he has asked officials to conduct a probe into this scandal.

"We have received complaints that eligible beneficiaries did not get houses. Houses were distributed to people close to the concerned or those who paid money. As complaints have been received about several irregularities, we have ordered probe," he explained.
