IT raids residences of several entrepreneurs in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 6: The Income Tax (IT) department conducted raids on residences of several entrepreneurs in city on the morning of Wednesday, November 6. 

The search operation is continuing even in the evening. 

It is learnt that the raid was conducted simultaneously on the houses of 11 entrepreneurs, who are accused of cheating the government on taxes and also not providing proper documents to the government. 

According to IT department sources, the raids started at around 7 am. The raids are also conducted on some companies functioning at Vartoor and Electronic City. 

It is also known that as many of the entrepreneurs having business here also own businesses in Chennai, the Chennai IT department also has conducted raids at the same time on their establishments and residences.

    I have heard of one business fellow who showed profit of 50,000 one year which jumped to 70 crore next year.. .a whopping 16,000 turnover...let us hope IT does not raid this hard working fellow..

    these entrepreneurs must be sympathizers of Congress for sure. If they were coughing up something for balatkari party fund, then they would not have been raided.

    Business man have sometimes loss sometimes profit. They had to adjust business where there is loss. Govt will not come to help them or assist them in the critical situation.

    Raid may become axe to ruin their bussiness. To loose interest in the business.

    Now profitable earners are coolie workers and house maids. They earn minimum 500 per day with food and expenses. No tax, no office expenses. Full profit.

    Very true; most businesses are running in losses, even Gudangadi fellows are struggling, to add to that prices of essential commodities have gone through the roof; it's indeed a tough time for small businesses to survive; those who have taken loans will either have to go underground or commit suicide, the ground level situation is in ICU!!

    Most corrupt in India as everyone knows are Govt. Servants and Politicians. Yet, there is no raids. Even if there are some raids and the guy is caught red handed nothing happens.

    These are the same guys who are conducting raids on the common people and businessmen. Business environment within India is already suffering and not sure what these raids can achieve, as the most any businessmen could do is tax evasion.

    Like it or not, if all Govt. babu's starting from police constable, office boy in govt., office to the IAS, IPS cadre within India and pulled out the illegally acquired wealth, it could possibly make india a USD5tr economy.
