Mandya, Nov 6: One of the disqualified Karnataka MLAs Narayana Gowda on Tuesday, November 5 claimed that he was given Rs 1,000 crore by chief minister B S Yediyurappa for undertaking development works in his Krishnarajpet constituency.
"Somebody came to me and took me to BS Yediyurappa's residence at 5 am. When we entered his home, Yediyurappa was in the middle of a prayer. Once I entered, he asked me to sit and asked me to support him so that he could become the chief minister again," Gowda said.

Reportedly, Gowda claimed that he had requested for Rs 700 crore for the development of the Krishnarajpet constituency. He was then promised Rs 300 crore more by BS Yediyurappa if Gowda would render his support to him. This request was made right after Yediyurappa claimed that he had 'nothing to do with the disqualified MLAs’, he said.
Further, Gowda also asserted that a former JDS-MLA in Mandya agreed to have supported the Yediyurappa government for the funds to develop his constituency.
