Udupi: Amit Shah's hand in toppling government is clear now – Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Nov 6: Former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, arrived here on Tuesday November 5. He stayed at Sai Radha Resort at Kaup. He is here to take part in the convention of party workers scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

When the media persons questioned him about the alleged telephonic conversation between Deve Gowda and Yediyurappa, he said he is ignorant about it, and questioned how can he react to questions without having any firsthand knowledge about it.

On the allegation of Deve Gowda that Siddaramaiah had worked to topple the coalition government in the state, he said that he has already answered this question in detail. He said he cannot go on giving clarifications every time Deve Gowda makes accusations.

He said he is not aware whether the JD(S) and the BJP have reached any internal understanding for the by-poll. He refused to comment on the issue, duly claiming that he has no knowledge whether they have struck any understanding. He suggested to the interested people to directly question Deve Gowda and Yediyurappa if they get an occasion to meet these leaders.

Siddaramaiah said that he has been just hearing rumours about these two parties entering into an alliance for the by-poll, duly adding that he prefers not to respond to rumours.

In the matter of audio of Yediyurappa, he pointed out that the chief minister has confessed that the voice in the audio is his. He said that it becomes so difficult to repose faith in a person if he changes his statement now and then. "This case has already been referred to the Supreme Court. Our lawyer has placed his arguments today. Amit Shah's hand in the plan to topple the government has come into the open. How can we believe that our constitution will remain safe if the union home minister indulges in such acts?" he wondered.

When his reaction was sought to the statement of senior Congress leader, B Janardhana Poojary that Siddaramaiah is ominous to the party's prospects, Siddaramaiah said he would not comment on Poojary's statement.

Not only in Karnataka, it's good in whole over India. It's less corrupt compare to other parties. in 70 years it is not mounted the amount that other parties accumulated in 5 years.

First of all , Mr.Siddaramayya people of karnataka rejected your party in last assembly election , you dont have mandate to form the government . Then why congress supported and involved in coalition government with JDS ? Does it right ?

No party was given clear mandate to form govt. Hence, it was required for more than one party to join hands together and form coalition govt, which was rightly done by congress & JDS. Congess was second largest party by number of elected members to Legislative council, hence it is improper to say that people have rejected congress.

Karnataka politicians has no integrity so they sold themselves to Amith Shah. But Amith Shah failed in Maharashtra and can't form Government there. Irony is that the BJP politicians are not coming under the scanner. They left scot free. See how Dushyanth Choutala's father has come out from Tihar Jail within 24 hours!!
