Shivamogga, Nov 5: Siddaramaiah, former chief minister, said that BJP released the audio tape of chief minister Yediyurappa to dethrone him.
Siddaramaiah was speaking to reporters in Sagar on Tuesday, November 5.
He expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will uphold the order of Assembly Speaker over disqualification of seventeen legislators taking into consideration the audio tape of Yediyurappa as proof.
He maintained that BJP leaders wanted to oust Yediyurappa from the post of chief minister and made the tape go viral in on social media.
In the audio made available on social media, Yediyurappa is heard talking about the treatment meted out by BJP to disqualified MLAs. He tells that disqualified MLAs were sent to Mumbai hotel when they had resigned with the knowledge of BJP national president Amith Shah.
