Udupi, Nov 5: Under the guidance of renowned Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev, a mega Yoga camp is being held at the vehicles parking area of Sri Krishna Math here from November 16 to 20. The entry is open for the general public, said state in-charge of Patanjali Yoga Peetha, Bhawarlalji Arya, addressing a press conference here on Monday, November 4.
He said that about 30,000 people are expected to take part in this camp. Baba Ramdev himself would be providing guidance and training. Yoga teachers will be providing necessary information in Kannada. He added that those who participate in this five-day camp can expect to lose one to five kg of body weight. "Baba Ramdev will also be suggesting suitable Yoga postures by way of remedy for specific diseases of individual patients," he added.
He said that in preparation for this camp, five-day free Yoga camps are being held at 101 places all over the district, out of which 75 camps have already been held.
Patanjali Yoga Peethia state women unit in-charge for Karnataka Sujata, district convener Balaji Raghavendra Acharya, district president Karamballi Shivaram Shetty, Dr Tanmay Goswamy of publicity committee and administrative officer of Paryaya Palimaru Math Prahlad Acharya, were present.
