Bengaluru: Removal of Tipu lesson from school curriculum – Committee meeting on Nov 7

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Nov 3: Karnataka Textbook Society had called a meeting of the textbook committee on November 7 to discuss the removal of Tipu Sultan history from the school text books. But as the committee itself is not in existence, the report can be submitted to the government only after formation of the new committee and discussion thereafter on the subject.

Giving clarification on the matter, minister for primary and secondary education S Suresh Kumar said, "This issue will be discussed with Karnataka Textbook Society, after forming the relevant committee for the same. As the meeting with the association is fixed on November 7, a committee will be formed before that."

See the priority of those in the Government. Economy is receding; unemployment is rising; GDP has crashed; Industries are tottering for survival; farmers are committing suicide; natural calamities have taken a toll of people's lives and property with no help from the government; and these jokers are concentrating on non issues like "Mandir yehee banega"; History will be rewritten by eliminating Tipu from the text books. God save Us. What priority these fellows have in mind. Sic.
The speed with which they are acting to remove Tipu from the text books is not shown in printing text books on time to help the children have the books when the school resume.

There is one fort with the name of Sultan Battery in Mangalore. This was also built by Tippu and also there is a palace in Bangalore. When is the government going to demolish these as they are still remembered for Tippu?. There are many such things in Kerala, so whether the central government also remove them

This is to divert the attention of the public...
    # How many crores spent on Operation Kamala.... When ED will raid them
    # When Pumpwell Circle will be finished
    # When flood victims will get compensation
    # When there will ED raid on Coorg Coffee Estate owner Akka...

Do they can erase history .. Can we demolish Kollur temple.. Can we demolish Lalbagh Bangalore.... Can we demolish many temples supported or built by him....

Useless creatures wasting time at the cost of public money.. They use tippu to divert attention. We must be careful... We must think of things which will impact out future generations.. Tippu already dead and he will not come back or we cannot punish him either..

    So be smart ...

When Tippu s history removed from school books, it doesn't make any different, when children enter google and wikipidia all history will be on their palm. so deleting tippu from school book may get benefit to yeddys party .

These are silly matters which the govt. is wasting time on and creating unnecessary controversies. We have had heavy rains everywhere and govt. should concentrate on pro public activities like repairing roads, providing resources to needy, supporting farmers and small businessmen.
