Malaika Group Announces Dividend of 14 Percent for Shareholders

Mumbai, Aug 10:
The annual general body meeting and customers’ meet of Malaika Co-operative Credit Society was held at St Thomas Church auditorium, Sai Baba Nagar, Mira Road (East), here on Sunday August 9.

It was presided over by Malaika Group of Concerns chairman Gilbert P Baptist.
 


T 3 Urban Development Private Limited chairman and managing director V P Lobo Nirkan was the chief guest on the occasion.
 
Mira Road St Joseph’s Church parish priest Fr Dominic Vas and Fr Stany Pinto Karwar were also chief guests.
 
Malaika representatives Cyprian Albuquerque, Lawrence Rodrigues Mulund, Godfrey D’Souza Vikroli, Felix D’Souza Malvani, Leo Fernandes Jerimeri, John G Mendonca Amboli, and auditor S D Gunjal were present on the dais.
 
Lobo said that it’s essential for any financial institution to have genuine concern for social development.  “Malaika Co-operative Credit Society has given due importance to customers from low income group by advancing loans for their financial needs.  It has been a ray of hope for a large number of trusted customers from lower strata of society”, he added.
 
Baptist announced a dividend of 14 percent for shareholders on the occasion.  In his presidential address, Baptist said that Malaika Co-operative Credit Society is striving for the progress of its poorer customers and reiterated the organization’s commitment to the empowerment of the low income group. 
 
Society manager Marcy D’Souza, secretary Elsy J Rodrigues, treasurer Manohar R Shetty, members Dinesh T Poojary, Alex S Fernandes, Sushant S Sabat, Teja Ravindra Shetty, and Joseph R Lobo were also present.
 
Malaika Group director Marceline G Baptist welcomed the gathering. Naveen Kulshekar compered the programme.
 
Leo Rod and Sukrin troupe staged a variety entertainment programme on the occasion.
