Mangaluru, Oct 28: JD(S) district president Mohammed Kunhi said, "As MCC election will be held on November 12, JD(S) will field candidates in 25 wards. Candidates for 20 wards are already finalized, while there is tough fight for candidate nomination in the remaining wards. We will announce the complete list of candidates on October 30. Out of 20 already finalized candidates, seven are women. Our aim is to win in least 15 wards.

“Only BJP and Congress have come to power in MCC. People have seen their tenure. There was no appreciable development that has taken place in Mangaluru. Both BJP and Congress are responsible for Pacchanady dumpyard tragedy. Both the parties have completely neglected the city during their respective tenure. As MLAs and ministers in the district are inactive, district in-charge minister has lost contact with the people.

“JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda is expected to visit Mangaluru on November 4 and address the party representatives ahead of the MCC elections,” he said.

JD(S) leader Amarnath Shetty, Azeez Kudroli and others were present.

It is better not to trust the expert opinion as we have seen through our own eyes a very horrible prediction in the recent Maharastra Haryana election in which they have failed miserably.
