Kuwait, Oct 28: United Mangaloreans Kuwait (UMK) is all geared up to host the eigth ‘Fun Filled Evening 2019’, on the occasion of 10th anniversary celebration on November 1 at American International School Auditorium (AIS), Maidan Hawalli, Kuwait, from 4 pm onwards.
The objective of the group is to help the underprivileged back home in Mangaluru.
In the past 10 years, UMK has donated to nine needy institutes like Sneha Sadan HIV aids center, Mangaluru, Navachetana Special School, Venur, White Doves, Mangaluru, Little Sisters of Poor, Mangaluru, Manasa Rehabilitation Center, Pamboor, Udupi District, De Mercede Orphanage, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, Prashanth Nivas, Jeppu, Mangaluru, Mount Rosary Charitable Institutes, Moodabidri and Vimukti (Daya Care Center), Beltangady.
UMK has contributed a total sum of Rs 1.44 crore.
This was possible only due to the overwhelming support from the sponsors and well-wishers, who have contributed generously.
This year, UMK will present a Konkani comedy drama ‘Ashin….Kashin….Zalin….Pishin….?’, written in Tulu by Dinesh Kankanady, Konkani translation by Dolla, Mangaluru, and directed by Ronald D’Souza, Mulky, assisted by Joel Pinto, Udupi, along with a variety of lively melodious songs and foot-tapping dances, in aid of St Philomena’s Orphanage, home for girl students of poor and broken families, situated at Kemmannu, Udupi district, Karnataka, India.
All are invited to participate in this fun-filled event and be part of a worthy cause.
