Bengaluru, Oct 21: Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda assured that he will have discussion with Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) with regards to providing a separate land for Tulukoota in the state capital.
Speaking at the 'Hosa Akki Oota' programme that was organized by Tulukoota Bengaluru at the Gururaja Kalyana Manatapa in the city, DVS said that the long-standing demand of Tulukoota of a separate land in Bengaluru will be met very soon.

"There is a tradition in the Tulunadu of having the new rice after harvest with celebration. 'Puddar Vanas' celebration is very apt in these time to increase harmony, which is absent in today's society. It is also heartening to note that people belonging to various castes in the coastal districts are united as one in the capital city under the Tulukoota. This will set a good example for the younger generation and also Bengalureans."
Speaking on the occasion Tulu religious thinker P K Sadananda said, "Only when the traditions and celebrations of Tulunadu are made known to the younger generation through programmes like this, the will know the hardship their ancestors have gone through. Tulukoota is holding this programme every year in a disciplined manner."
Timmanarasa Dr Padmaraja Ajila of Aladangadi Aramane said, "This is not just a lunch or get together. This is a celebration that depicts the culture of Tulunadu. This is also an event of introducing the culture of Tulunadu to people of other regions."
Udayaraj Shetty and Sukesh Amin, who have achieved great feat in sports and poet Shantaram were felicitated on the occasion.
