Bengaluru, Oct 19: In a bizarre case, a person stole 118 cars as vengeance against police for allegedly registering a false car theft case against him three years ago.
The police arrested the alleged car thief identified as Parameshwar Armugam and his accomplice Saddam Hussain. The duo used a universal remote to steal cars. The police have seized 10 luxury stolen cars worth Rs 1.70 crore from their possession.
The alleged car thief Parameshwar Armugam was arrested by Chennai police three years ago over a petty case. It is alleged that the police registered a fake Scorpio car theft case against him. Parameshwar who was angry and upset decided to take revenge against the police.

Soon after he came out from jail, he stole 25 Scorpio SUVs. He then called up and challenged the Chennai police to arrest him and later went missing.
Parameshwar then shifted to Bengaluru but did not stop stealing cars. Over the years, he stole several cars in Madiwala, Mico Layout, Hulimavu and other neighbourhoods in Bengaluru.
Parameshwar was finally caught when he was trying to install a CCTV camera in the bathroom of a women’s hostel in Madiwala.
Wanted in over 17 cases, Parameshwar confessed to stealing 118 cars. Parameshwar’s wife is a high court lawyer and his son is a state level hockey player.
