Bengaluru, Oct 19: State high court has expressed its extreme unhappiness over the failure of the state government in the implementation of its orders in the investigation pertaining to the multi-crore IMA fraud case. The court has warned that the court will have to interfere if necessary actions are not taken by the government.
This warning was given by the divisional bench, which is conducting inquiry of the various Public Interest Litigations (PIL) that are filed with regards to the IMA fraud case, on Friday, October 18 to the state government.
The lawyer arguing the case for the government submitted the follow up report of the order of the court that was given on September 27. The divisional bench, which inspected the follow up report said, "The government report does not show any follow up of the directives given by the court. The certificate is full of irregularities. The government is not serious, though thousands of investors are facing difficulties. Action should be taken as per the directives of the court. If not, the court will have to interfere and see that the implementation is carried out."
The high court also directed the state government and the state police department to submit a status report before October 30 against a separate PIL submitted by Forum for Building Bribe-free Karnataka urging the handing over of the investigation of Ambidant fraud case to CBI based on the letter written to DCP on November 28, 2018 by the then ACP of CCB Venkatesha Prasanna.
