Sullia, Oct 12: Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of former Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, visited Kukke Subrahmanya on Friday October 11 and privately participated in a puja he organized in the residence of a priest there.
Nikhil had come to Subrahmanya with some friends on Thursday night. On the next morning, he got 'Trikala Puja' performed in the house of a local priest, reliable sources said. The purpose behind Nikhil, who was defeated in Mandya constituency in the Lok Sabha election by Sumalatha Ambareesh, has given rise to curiosity.
Some sources said that Nikhil was advised by a reliable astrologer to perform this puja in order to have a good political future. After the puja, he visited Subrahmanya temple and paid obeisance to the presiding deity. He was accompanied by JD(S) leader M B Sadashiva. He also went to Suibrahmanya Math and sought blessings from Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji before attending the night puja at the temple. He stayed at Subrahmanya on Friday night with plans to return to Bengaluru on Saturday.
