Bengaluru, Oct 10: Properties owned by former Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) of Karnataka and Congress leaders G Parameshwar were raided by the Income Tax (IT) slueths on Thursday, October 10. The raid was conducted at 30 different locations which have connection with the former DCM.
A trust which is accused of taking black money for admissions to medical is connected to Dr G Parameshwar. The raids were also conducted on Siddartha Group of Institutions in Tumkur by a team of four IT slueths. This institution is owned by the former DCM.
Former chief minister and leader of CLP Siddaramiah has cried foul on the raids conducted by IT on Dr G Parameshwar.
The timings of the raid is surprising as they came just hours before the three day session of the state assembly got underway. Congress was likely to disturb the session with flood relief funds issue.
