Bengaluru: Bishop emeritus Dr John Baptist Sequeira passes away

Bengaluru, Oct 10: Bishop emeritus Dr John Baptist Sequeira passed away on Wednesday, October 9 here. 

He was 89. 

Dr John Baptist Sequeira was born on 23 June 1930 in Katipalla of Mangaluru diocese. He was ordained priest in 1958. 

He was appointed as bishop of Chikkamagaluru diocese in 1987 and was consecrated on 11 June 1987. 

He retired as bishop in 2006.

 

After that he spent his retired life in Bengaluru.
