Mangaluru Oct 6: Former vice chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Nitte University, Dr S Ramanand Shetty, inaugurated 'Elite Dentistry', a state-of-the-art new dental clinic at Milestone 25 Balmatta on Sunday, October 6. 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr S Ramanand Shetty said, "The dental clinic is very hi-tech with all types of facilities with high class equipments. 40 years ago there were no such facilities or equipments. Now the things have changed a lot. I wish all the best for Nandish Shetty and Devika Shetty in this new clinic,”

Dr Nandish Shetty MDS [Orthodontics] and Dr Devika Shetty MDS [OMRD] are the proprietors of ‘Elite Dentistry’. Dr Nandish Shetty graduated in Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Mangalore University, Mangaluru and his Masters in Orthodontics and Dentofascial Orthopaedics from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore. Presently he is working as a Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the Yenepoya University. He has been extensively practising in and around Mangaluru city, Kerala, Goa and Maharashtra since 20 years. He is also a consultant orthodontist at Shinas, Oman. 

He has constantly upgraded his clinical practise through various conferences and courses attended nationally and internationally. He has attained a Fellowship at Charles Tweed Foundation, USA. He is a certified Invisalign provider. He is a Fellow of World Federation of Orthodontics and also life member of Indian Orthodontic Society and Indian Dental Association. 

Dr Devika Shetty graduated in Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bengaluru and her Masters in Oral Medicine and Radiology from Yenepoya University, Mangaluru. Presently she is working as a Reader in the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences. She is a specialized diagnostician in pre-cancerous oral conditions, oral cancer detection, temporomandibular disorders and dentofacial radiology. She has attained her Fellowship in Aesthetic Dentistry [FAD] from IlAMED (affilitated to University of Griefswald, Germany).
