New York, Jul 23: Aloysians and Partners in North America (APNA) executive committee (AEC) was reconstituted with Dr Dinker Rai, a renowned heart surgeon assuming the office of the president of AEC, in addition to continuing as the vice chairman of APNA Board of Trustees. The other members of the AEC are Dr Marian Kamath, vice president - membership, Victor Pais, vice president for development, Ashok Mathias, treasurer and Tony D’Silva, secretary. Joe Gonsalves, a veteran Aloysian, is the vice president for communications.
At the fourth general body meeting of APNA held on Saturday, July 11 at 600 New Bridge Road, East Meadow, NY, the chairman of APNA, Fr Ozzie Mascarenhas, Kellstadt professor of marketing and ethics of University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan, said, “while the current recession is the second worst in America, the country has always come out of such challenging situations. Recession is a mindset and we should move with passion and a creative vision in pursuing our goals.”
APNA Board of Trustees was also reconstituted at this annual general body meeting and Jayaram Bhat, San Francisco, Arthur Shenoi, Los Angeles, Dr Neria Hebbar, Tampa, Florida and Dr Brian Martis, Detroit, Michigan were invited to join the Board of Trustees and help further the cause of APNA.
APNA (www.apnanet.org) is a foundation established in the USA with the twin objectives of helping St Aloysius College, Mangalore, in its growth and expansion and building a strong network of Aloysian alumni and friends and well-wishers of the college in North America.
