Dairy farmers in Goa to receive Rs 1 crore as patronage bonus

Panaji, Sep 30: The Goa Dairy's annual general body meeting after day-long discussion reached an agreement to distribute 38.46 per cent of the profit among the farmers.
 
The FY 2018-19 managed to earn Rs 2.6 crore in dairy, and Rs 1.9 crore through its cattle feed plant at Usgao.
 
 
The session was attended by over 143 members out of 181. The meeting also decided on the distribution of dividends worth Rs 5.6 lac.
 
As of now, Rs 1 crore is finalised as the patronage bonus and Rs 5.6 lac as dividends. The Goa dairy gets the milk supplied from around 8,650 farmers.
