Panaji, Sep 29: Goa is aiming to beat the global and national target of recording zero deaths by rabies by 2025.

An awareness over this was carried out by an NGO. Over 50,316 vaccinations and a drive to educate about the zoonotic disease has already taken place.

As per rabies education director, Dr Murugan Appupillai, over seven years before the international timeline, Goa will be rid of rabies.

Future months in Goa will only be directed towards awareness among the community on Rabies.
