Panaji, Sep 27: CM Pramod Sawant, in a meeting with senior officials from the directorate of health services, urged for creating awareness on dengue. After witnessing a surge in the number of people affected by the disease, govt health officers have carried out anti-larval measures and fogging activities.
The coastal areas during August were severely plagued by the disease and recorded numerous deaths in this regard.
Therefore, to tackle the disease, CM Sawant talked about effective methods of waste management.
Earlier this month, health officials discovered dengue mosquito breeding in the domesticated condition in many localities in the city. Nonetheless, the DHS is working along with the municipal bodies to prevent mosquito breeding by opting for proper waste management measures.
