Bengaluru, Sep 21: The special CBI court has ordered to entrust IMA multi-crore ponzi scheme scam accused Mansoor Khan to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody till September 24.
Custody period of Mansoor and his close ones had ended on Friday. CBI officers had produced them in the court. Advocate for the CBI sought further custody of Mansoor Khan and others as the accused need to be interrogated further, and also as incriminating documents relating to cheating and handing over money need to be put together. The court, after hearing arguments from both the sides, handed over Mansoor and Naveed to CBI custody for three more days till September 24.
The other accused Nizamuddin and Nasir Hussain, were remanded to judicial custody till October 5.
In the meantime, former deputy commissioner of the city district here, Vijayashankar, is being questioned by the CBI officers at their office at Hebbal. Vijayashankar faces the allegation of accepting bribe and issuing fake certificate about IMA not being involved in any wrongdoings.
