No insurance cover for commissioner's vehicle

City police commissioner, Dr Harsha P S, reacting to information being spread through certain social websites by anonymous persons that the insurance for the commissioner's vehicle had not been renewed, said that these rumours are baseless. He said that the concerned were wrong in spreading malicious propaganda about the government vehicles.

Harsha stated that the government remits insurance premium for the government vehicles. He explained that the concerned were wrong in comparing insurance renewal through Parivahan software as the website bear only the starting details but no details of renewals done later.

Welcome step by the government to penalize the irate drivers and those do not follow the traffic rules and do not value the life of fellow citizens.

Why people are against these law? Why anyone need to pay the penalty if they follow the rule of the land.

There is nothing cruel and this is followed around the world. No one complains across the globe. People should support this initiative

Many state governments, including the HAR HAR MODI BJP-ruled state Gujarat , transport Minister's State Maharashtra and even Namma Manya CM Yeddi are not convinced by the provisions of hefty fines. Many state governments have formed committees to study the Act and are looking for ways to tweak it around. What a shame for ruling party. They are looting common man in the name of traffic violation. No one against the amendment but the concern over the hefty fine.

This Traffic department is not finding out why vehicles are parked on the road in front of commercial complexes. The reason is parking slot is converted into shopes. So vehicles are parked on the road. Who is to take action against those complexes??? Big question mark. Simply herrasing the vehicles owners and building owners are enjoying . I hope our new Commissioner of Police Dr Harsha will take action against our MCC.

There was no preparation and it was imposed on people without any awareness. This amount has to be reduced. How a common man can afford Rs. 1000 for no helmet.Cerainly harsh.Every rupee is hard earned.500 is reasonable. We should know that the people are below average income group.Thats why this rule is against the people.

    Dear Elwyn Goveas, Valencia

    1. u said "There was no preparation and it was imposed on people without any awareness"

how u r saying this? Wearing helmet is compulsory since ages by law, what else awarness u need??? Modi personally visit each and every vehicle owner and request to wear helmet?????? more over every there is news about new rules, i dnt think in 2019 some one never read news paper.

    2. u said "How a common man can afford Rs. 1000 for no helmet" do u mean to say common man can afford life but not Rs.1000??? boss if a common man can buy vehicle for worth Rs. 70,000, i dnt think that he cant afford helmet worth rs 500-1000. also Rs. 500-1000 is not more worth than life. Law says wear helmet to 2 wheeler, not for people who walk.

    3. Below average income group have money to buy car, but wearing selt belt cost nothing, it cost Rs. ZERO only.

    4. Modi never say look both side of road before crossing, still every one does, no one complain there was no awareness.

Can you provide safe roads? Can you bring non crowded busses? Can you bring driving discipline to all DL holders? Can you provide fly overs in major jam. Packed junctions? I don't mind paying the current penalty or even more if there are proper facilities. When I pay I should get basic facilities.

If state government reduces the fines in the future, what happens to the fines which have been already paid at higher rates? Will they be refunded? Why the state governments are so concerned and eager to reduce the fine amounts? Out of concern for people or is it because they are worried that in the long run the cuts politicians receive from the bribes taken by traffic department will come down ? When one has to pay very high fine, naturally he will follow the rules and will avoid fine. When people follow rules traffic police will not get bribe. If no bribe for police , less income for politician who gets a cut from that bribe.
