Bengaluru, Sep 10: BJP leader and MP Anant Kumar Hegde, on Tuesday, September 10, asked former Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner (DC) Sasikanth Senthil to go to Pakistan.
Terming his resignation as an ‘act of arrogance,’ the former union minister in a video message on twitter said, the IAS officer questioning the decision of the Centre and the Parliament which was taken on the basis of a majority is an ‘act of treason.’
Hegde known for his controversial remarks said that the easiest solution for Senthil is to go to Pakistan along with those who support him. “Instead of destroying the county, it is better he leaves it and continues his struggle against the country and government,” he said.
He demanded action to be initiated against the former DC and said that the Governor has the power.
In a series of tweets, Hegde wrote, “If this guy can conclude that the Union Government is fascist; then we have the liberty to call him another paid #Gaddar, dancing to the tunes set by his real paymasters! This may be the debate he wants to initiate!”
“The state government should realize that it should have sacked him after he opened his polluted mindset against the Union Government. But cajoling this #Gaddar to return, amounts to treacherous act against the Nation. @BSYBJP,” he tweeted.
“Serving the government & yet questioning people representative's decision taken as per constitutional norms, besides labelling it as fascist amounts to nothing less than #Rajadroha!,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Senthil said that Hegde’s statement itself exposes the BJP leader.
"He (Hegde) is asking me to go to Pakistan. His statement itself exposes him. If he can ask me this question, then you can guess what will happen to the general masses tomorrow," Senthil told media.
