Bengaluru, Sep 10: Former minister, D K Shivakumar, has filed an appeal in the high court, questioning the judgement of a single judge bench of the high court passed earlier. The bench had dismissed the petition filed by Shivakumar seeking to quash the summons served on him by the enforcement directorate to present himself before it relating to recovery of unaccounted money of Rs 8.69 crore found in his Delhi residence during raid by income tax officials.
The appeal was filed in the division bench of the high court on Monday September 9. Advocate for Shivakumar appeared before the bench as soon as proceedings started on Monday and requested the appeal to be heard urgently. The bench adjourned hearing after informing that the appeal would be taken up on September 11.
The bail application in the case filed by D K Shivakumar in the special court of enforcement directorate at Delhi will be heard on September 13.
