Mangaluru, Sep 9: Puttur MLA and district BJP president, Sanjeev Matandoor, called former Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Sasikanth Senthil as anti-national.
Addressing media here on Monday, September 9, Sanjeev Matandoor said, "Entire country has understood the mentality of Sasikanth Senthil. As an officer, he is sincere. But in a media interview, he said he is against Article 370, Rama Rajya and many other things,”
"After 5 years and 100 days, Sasikanth Senthil came to know that it is unethical on his part to continue as a civil servant when fundamental building blocks of diverse democracy are being compromised," he ridiculed.
"Being a public servant, he spoke against the decision of the central government and hence Sasikanth Senthil is an anti-national," said Sanjeev Matandoor.
Throughout the press conference, Sanjeev Matandoor called Sasikanth Senthil as a traitor and then later on changed the statement and said he is not a traitor but an anti-national.
Matandoor also demanded a probe against Sasikanth Senthil, to find out if he had contacts with any organisations.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, BJP leaders Harikrishna Bantwal and others were present.
