Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Sep 8: The political differences between Jarkiholi brothers, Ramesh and Sathish, who till recently were sporting a united face in spite of ideological differences, have escalated after the previous government collapsed and paved way for the BJP regime. Congress legislator, Rameshs Jarkiholi, who was disqualified by the assembly speaker, launched a long tirade against his brother, Satish, during his address at the 'Sankalp Samavesh (meet to take pledge)' at Gokak, his home constituency, reserved most of his address to giving a thorough tongue lashing to Satish.

He said that Satish has realized that the people of Yamakanamaradi constituency would kick him out in the next election. "Keeping this in mind, he has been visiting Gokak time and again. He will cheat you. Therefore, do not listen to rumours he might float," he urged the people.  He also accused Sathish Jarkiholi of wedging a divide between the brothers who were once united, and also trying to pit the other brother, Lakhan Jarkiholi, against the rest.

Ramesh also predicted that ten to 15 more Congress legislators will soon resign.

At the same time, Yamakanamaradi MLA, Sathish Jarkiholi, said that in spite of getting elected as MLA five times, Ramesh Jarkiholi lacks political experience, seriousness and maturity. Speaking to media persons,  he said that people of the district are struggling with their lives on account of floods. He felt that under these circumstances, Ramesh was not justified in organizing a meet. He felt that Ramesh gives more importance to his own political interests than the travails of the people of his constituency.
