Hubballi, Sep 5: Siddaramaiah, former chief minister and leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) reiterated that BJP is trying to take revenge on the leaders of the opposition party and the arrest of Shivakumar is also one more instance of the same.
Siddaramaiah also said that those who pelted stones and created ruckus during the protest against the arrest of Shivakumar were not the workers of the Congress party but some miscreants. He said that the Congress party workers are asked to stage the protest peacefully.
Siddaramaiah spoke to the reporters in the city on the way to Badami.
When asked about the handling of deluge relief, the former CM said, "Individual sheds are not yet erected for the people affected with floods, though the gruel centers were they put up are closed already by the government. BJP government has completely failed in managing the flood situation in the state,"
"This government is thick skinned and has no eyes and ears. Though we are pressurizing them for quick relocation of the flood victims, they are not at all bothered. No initiative is taken to relocate the affected villagers," said an angry Siddaramaiah.
When asked about the managing of dam agreement that is reached between the state and Maharashtra, Siddaramaiah said, "The move of managing the dams properly is welcomed by us provided the water from the dams is released systematically so that no deluge results in Karnataka."
