Udupi, Sep 4: The Ganeshotsava festival was in full swing at Alevoor near here. Suddenly, the public noticed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had arrived to partake in the festival. They started chanting Modi, Modi. In the midst of police security, Modi got down from the luxury car and went on to the dais. People were dumbstruck. Many were confused whether this is real or not. But they had taken it for real, which was evident by the way they were saying slogans of Modi, Modi.
Several questions like, why PM came to Udupi that too Alevoor, without prior intimation, arose in the minds of the public at the Ganeshotsava. But the reality was that the person who came in the guise of PM Modi was none other than Sadananda Nayak, a native of Udupi, whose looks are almost similar to that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After Modi has become the prime minister of India, demand for Sadananda Nayak has increased. Not only his looks are similar to Modi, he has copied the way the PM walks and also the way of dressing. He is already lauded by one and all for his appearance in programmes organised by BJP as duplicate Modi. Not only in Udupi or the state of Karnataka, but Sadananda Nayak has gone to states like Maharashtra and Gujarat and is liked by the public.
All in all, the arrival Sadananda Nayak, in the guise of Modi, increased the grandeur of the occasion at Alevoor. Many people took selfies with him.
