Udupi, Jul 4: Mangalore Catholic Board of Education secretary Fr Wilson D'Souza opined, that the field of education has to get reformed and adapt itself to the changing global needs. He was speaking after declaring open the two new additional courses, BBM and BCA, introduced in St Mary's College, Shirva in the taluk on Wednesday July 1.
He appreciated the service being provided by the college to the rural people by providing education to them, catering to their needs of quality education and helping them to join the mainstream just like the urbanites.
College correspondent, Fr Richard Coelho of Shirva St Mary's Church, presided. College principal Dr John C Miranda welcomed the gathering. Prof Gopalakrishna, head of the history department of the college, proposed vote of thanks. Prof Ronald Moras compered the programme.
