Udupi, Sep 3: Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj has filed resignation from the membership of JD(S). Pramod had taken JD(S) membership when he contested as a coalition candidate for the Udupi - Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha seat.
In his resignation filed to JD(S) president H D Kumarswamy, Pramod stated, "I was a aspirant for the Lok Sabha seat of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru. I had discussed the same with the Congress leaders. In the political developments happenned later, the seat was given for the JD(S). In the B form filed, I had mentioned as a member of JD(S). Nut now, as the coalition government is not in power, due to the technical reasons, I am resigning for the membership of JD(S)."
Veerappa Moily on Saturday said that Pramod Madhwaraj should apply for the membership of Congress party.
