Mangaluru: Ship caught in high waves - Coast Guard rescues 20 people

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel rescued 20 people, crew of a ship that got entangled in high waves in the sea, using lifesaving boats at NMPT.

The ship 'Tridevi Prem' got stuck in the violent waves that suddenly started in the sea around 2.30 am on the early morning of Monday, September 2.

Responding immediately, the Indian Coast Guard personnel of ICG ship 'Amartya' rescued 13 crew of the boat first.  



 

7 other members were rescued subsequently.

    My big salute to the Indian Coast Guards for rescuing the 20 people who were caught in high waves. It must have been a terrible task as he weather was very bad with high waves and gusty winds.
