Bangalore, Jun 30: Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Monday June 29 reiterated that Kodagu is an integral part of the state and there is no question of formation of a separate Kodagu state.
Speaking to media persons at his home office, Krishna after receiving memorandums and hearing public grievances, CM said that when the centre consulted the state on the issue, the state stressed that no permission will be granted on these lines and will not budge under pressure. Reacting to the issue of formation of new states including Kodagu CM said that the government promotes the concept of integrated Karnataka.
Steps have been taken for the development of Kodagu in the past and plans are being chalked out for the future development of the region. Kodagu will forever remain part of the state, he stressed.
