Mangaluru, Aug 27: Two accomplices of Sam Peter, who has been arrested for impersonation and cheating people by fraudulently claiming to be officer of National Crime Intelligence Bureau (NCIB) and offering to settle property disputes for a price, were arrested on Monday, August 26.
Peter was arrested along with seven of his associates from a lodge at Pumpwell here on August 16 and a case was filed against him in Kadri (west) police station here. The two persons who the police claim supported illegal activities of Sam Peter, had dealings with him, and who used to cheat people by claiming to be intelligence officials, happen to be Nagaraj N S (39), a resident of Nagarbhavi Bengaluru, and Raghavendra (31) who also is from Nagarbhavi.

The police have recovered NCIB flag, board, a Scorpio vehicle with MLC pass bearing registration No. KA 02 MD7935, ID cards and certain incriminating documents relating to some activities.
The gang reportedly had misused a vehicle pass at Vidhana Soudha issued to MLC C R Manohar. A separate investigation is on relating to this issue.
Criminal investigation department officials of Andhra Pradesh, in the meanwhile, have arrived for investigating links of Sam Peter and his gang to erstwhile junior Swamiji of Kashi Math, Raghavendra, who had voluntarily stepped down from his position. There are allegations that Sam Peter had collected Rs 15 lac from Raghavendra for eliminating/abducting key leaders of GSB community to help him claim right over certain assets.
In the meanwhile, the police said in a press release, that police officials of Dibburhalli station in Chikkaballapur district have taken into custody Kaleem Baba Patel, Maharashtra, relating to the abduction of Riaz.
